LttR publishes correspondence guidance to help readers make informed choices. Accuracy, transparent sourcing, and humane language guide our editorial process.

Sourcing and attribution

We prefer primary and official sources, including correctional agencies, statutes, regulations, and original research. Material factual claims should identify the source, use relevant dates and links, and distinguish reported facts from LttR analysis. Secondary sources may add context when their origin and limitations are clear.

AI assistance and human review

AI assistance may support outlining, drafting, editing, or production. AI output is not treated as a source. Every article must receive human review before publication, and editors must verify factual claims against cited material. We never fabricate statistics, quotes, or citations.

Bylines and updates

Articles identify their responsible author or the LttR Editorial Team and show publication and update dates when available. Supported errors are handled under our corrections policy.
