Review, explained

How Profile Review Works

LttR reviews submitted profile fields before a listing goes live. Human review helps catch missing, inconsistent, or unsuitable content; it does not turn every submitted statement into an independently verified fact.

Reviewed fields

The team checks submitted profile information for completeness, formatting, apparent consistency, and compliance with platform rules. A reviewer may request changes, reject unsuitable content, or remove a listing when concerns are supported.

What review does not mean

Unless a page expressly says otherwise, names, photos, biographical statements, offense descriptions, locations, dates, and contact details are not independently verified by LttR. A reviewed profile is not a background check, identity guarantee, character endorsement, or confirmation that every field remains current.

Confirm facts with official records

Search the relevant state Department of Corrections, federal Bureau of Prisons, county, or facility lookup using the person’s name and identification number. Confirm the domain belongs to the agency, follow its current communication rules, and contact the facility when records are unclear. If LttR and an official source differ, official records control.
